Exploring health workforce inequalities
Case studies from Ethiopia, Brazil and Mexico
WHO "Many low- and middle-income countries face acute shortages and maldistribution of skilled health workers, impeding the likelihood of meeting health systems objectives and attaining national and international health and development goals. WHO presents 3 case-studies afrom Ethiopia, Brazil and Mexico, each of which uses different analytical approaches and data sources, with the aim of arriving at a better understanding of specific dimensions of health workforce inequalities in their national contexts. The report concludes with a discussion of the practical implications of the results."
